I came to the DC area for the weekend from New York and was recommended this restaurant by my cousins. By far some of the best Indian food I have ever had. The food was worth the hype. The portion size was very generous and the prices are very reasonable. The owner is very nice and made sure we were taken care of. Ordered in Saturday and did take out on Sunday. Very good. Must try if you are in the DC area. Ordered the Murgh Saagwala, Lamb Vindaloo, Dal Makhni, Butter Chicken, Biryani.

Nice place in downtown Bethesda. Good customer service. We went in with a large party and they did a great job servicing us. I had the Murg Saag with some Naan. I also sampled some of the chicken biryani. It came with a side of yogurt. It was needed because it was quite spicy. But it was good as well. So if you like the heat that dish may be for you. The place is nicely decorated. They have a bar. I would recommend this place. For some good Indian food.

Had a wonderful first visit experience at this restaurant. Food was well balanced, delicious and tasted like authentically freshly cooked food just like a home cook food. Restaurant was clean and the owner was very friendly, warm and courteous. Service was awesome. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who likes good food. Soya Chops were so perfect they reminded me of Soya Lababdar I had in Connaught Place in New Delhi. Jack Fruit Biryani was flavorful. I have never liked Jack Fruit until now. Spicy onion salad was good but too small. Keep up the good work.

Virraaj is a high end Indian restaurant and food is definitely great. Everything we ordered was delicious and toothsome from Amritsari fish, Gol gappas, Chaat, Soya chunks, Butter chicken, Farsi butter chicken, Dal Tadka and of course the extensive cocktail menu was astonishing. I am waiting for another occasion to go back.
